Default Need Help I'm all out of ideas

I've begun on a new project a lady commissioned me to make her a triangular shelf to house her crystals Weird and dumb I know but when I thought this will be a one day project has turned now into 2 days because I haven't a clue on how to join two angles to form that triangle and I'm hoping you can help me out.

I will try and explain the best I can since I don't have a picture to show, what it is I want a peak at the top the angle is some where between 65-70° I have opted to cut on both boards 45° and then offset one board off the other. To better explain it the peak of the 45° angle will be offset so that the peak will meet the bottom of the 45° angle of the other board giving me that desired 65-70° angle. But I haven't a clue on how to mate these two boards together. At first I thought if I used a biscuit it would work but the biscuit joiner is designed to route out in the angle itself but not the other. So trying to work out exactly how much to offset so the two mortises meet perfectly in alignment is impossible. My only idea left is to use dowels but the problem with that as well is at least half of the dowel must go in one piece so drilling into the 45° angle there's not much meat left so it will not provide any strength at all.

I haven't faintest idea as what to do.
