I booked my leave pass for this one, months ago. Not sure what I'm after but just happy to luxuriate in the child free landscape of oily steel and cast iron.
hope to see some forumites there

Hmm, did think about it, still thinking about it.

It's a toss up between this and a clearing sale which has a few things that could earn me money if I was to purchase at the right price.
    Cheers

    Hmm! Tricky!

I just want a block plane. And maybe a rasp or 2. And maybe a frow and/or wedges for green wood splitting. (Cos chain saws scare me. And cost too much. )

I'm having to miss this one. Don't rub in the bargains too much on Monday.
    Enjoy,
    Jim

I've got my orders/wishes in but it's not the same as being there. It's bad enough regretting not buying things when you are there in person never mind agonising over what your proxy might have missed. Alas poor me

    Jim

    Hi Tea Lady,

I'll be the one you trampled over to get that bargain!, I am expecting to meet up with Peter ("Heavens Above") there as well.

    Regards
    Ray

Damn, wish I hadn't stumbled on this thread.

If I make it I'll be in disguise: zimmer frame, querulous voice and a sharpened elbow to get you out of the way TL!

I need a Stanley #6 sole only, in good nick. Is this the kind of thing the sale is likely to offer at a reasonable price?

    that's a disguise lol?
for a no6 sole you might have to go through the boxes on the floor and find someone has nicked the zimmer frame to use as ferrules.

    LOL.

I thought most attending would be using zimmer frames

OK, I'll take a hammer to mine to make the tubing useless for ferrules. Thanks for the tips.
    Cheers, Ern
