How old is this saw?
Have cleaned it up a bit but not sharpened, need to practice more first. Handle was basically black with grime when I got it, plate was rusty on one side but not too pitted.

I have a couple of Disstons and another plastic dragon handle Sandvik, but couldn't find any info on this one other than it's a 275.
Any ideas on date?

There is a Finnish Sanvik fan who has done some work on dating their saws (calculating their age - not taking them out for dinner).

There is no medallion but it has a proper etch. The 70th anniversary saw from the mid 50s had a printed etch so it is probably late 40s or early 50s.
