    I'm 99% sure thats a Marx toy from the Pocketools range.. collectable(ish) but not a plane. Entirely plastc with a little steel blade.

    Dayum! I'd hoped the sharade might have gone a little further than two posts!

    The silver parts (on mine at least) are diecast zinc, but the blade is a honest to goodness piece of spring steel and will actually take a shaving.

    awww.. sorry, I thought I was saving you from making a rash ebay purchase!

    Funny though I had to double take at your photo.. the blade is worn well down.. now that is keen!

    Would you believe I dropped the blade down to make it's length look more believable. The excess blade is protruding into a dog hole in the photos.
