Default Jointer, Jack, Shooting, No 7 hand Plane

Was thinking about splurging on this reno'd No 7 Bailey / Stanley Jack, Shooting, Jointing plane.

STANLEY BAILEY No 7 Jointer Plane - MADE IN ENGLAND (799) | Hand Tools | Gumtree Australia Canning Area - Canning Vale | 1026147983

I know they can be handy when joining laminate for bench tops to undercut the edges to be joined for an almost invisible joint....

I stupidly sold mine about 7 years ago, so now am slowly replacing everything.

This one seems to look the goods - not sure about prices these days?.

    Anyone?

    TIA.

I'm sure this plane would work pretty well, but $160 is a bit on the high side for one of the newer Stanleys.

Thia may be a better buy for $95..... (no affiliation)

The Hans Brunner is a much better option. The wooden tote and knob on the first one are replacing plastic handles to give you an idea of the age.
Hans is very good to deal with as well.
Those were the droids I was looking for.

Maybe you would like this mislabelled gem Its a bit bigger than a 7 and a bit fancier.

No affiliation. Apologies if you have a bid on it.
