Lee Valley Surface Mail Shipping
Hi all,
I ordered some gear from Lee valley a while back (end of August) and as I didn't need it straight away, I thought I'd try the attractively priced surface mail option which they said would take about 8-12 weeks.
I am in the process of writing back to Lee Valley to chase the order up as it hasn't arrived up but before I do I wanted to ask here on the forum if anyone else has used the surface mail option and what time frame it took their orders to arrive in.
TIA

I have ordered from them twice this year, and both times it was 10-12 weeks. And both times I was beginning to get a bit nervous before I found a parcel left next to the front door..
If it is more than 12, contact them. They should be able to track where it is for you. I suspect with Christmas approaching, there may be a little delay.....

I've done the surface shipping thing with Lee Valley a couple of times and it always seems to take around the 12 weeks. None of my surface shipped orders have gone missing.
Regards,
Ian.

Thanks guys, does it still go through the post office or is it a courier drop off?

around here (North Sydney) parcels are delivered by an Aust Post contractor
if you're not home he leaves a card and you can pick it up the next day from the local post office
I imagine it'll be similar in Tassie
but given where Kettering is I wouldn't be too surprised if parcels are only delivered once a week
