Looking for Stanley 66 Beader Parts
Hi
I have an old 66 beader with no fence and no blades that's been saved from the scrapheap. The blades look easy enough to make, the fences a little tricker (though I found a nice blog entry on Derek's site about it)
Before I try to make these or go the other direction and order replacements from Lie Neilson, does anyone happen to have spares in the boneyard I can buy off you?.
Cheers
Andrew

Lee Valley also have cutters that will fit the 66, the fence itself is not hard to knock up.

St James Bay Tools sell replacment blades and fences for #66 beaders. They are not the most responsive to emails, but persist and when you finally are able to buy something from them, you will find that their products are good.

Andrew, Lie Nielsen still make their version of the Stanley 66 beader.
I am fairly sure that their blades will fit as well and they also have replacement fences.
See:
Lie-Nielsen Toolworks Australia | Bronze Beading Tool
and
Lie-Nielsen Toolworks USA | Bronze Beading Tool
It would be worth an email to them too see if they were compatible with the Stanley.
Cheers

Make your own blades for the #66. That is the essence of this tool ... that you can custom make your own profiles.
I use a piece off a worn 3/4" bandsaw blade. Remove the teeth on a beltsander, and you are good to go. Chainsaw files are great for simple beads.
