Metric Brass Set-Up Gauge Blocks .. Where can I get them?
For several years I have used router or drill as gauges to do metric set ups on the router for heights and for box joints
Trouble is that they roll around a bit and I cant stack them.
Anyone know where I can get metric gauge blocks, please?
Thanks
Rob

Not sure about brass, however have you tried H&F (Machinery Warehouse) out at Dandenong?

Thanks Cava and Bohdan
Wow .... that set at H&F is much more than I would ever need.
I know that there are 5 and 7 piece imperial sets for around $25 to $30 ... all I need is the metric 3,4,5,6, and 10 to do all the settings I would ever need from 3mm to 28mm (excluding 26 and 27 of course).
Regards
Rob

Go to a decent building supplies place and get some window packers. I think you can get 1mm, 3mm, 4mm,5mm, 6mm, 8mm and 10mm. They are available metric and imperial. Pretty accurate, pretty cheap.

You could make a stepped block out of timber. Use some thing hard and just measure as accurately as you can then cut out the steps with hand tools. I usually use a combination square that is adjusted the required depth then brought up close to the router bit adjusted and locked in position. Save your money for something else and just spend a little time making a stepped gadget that is specifically for your needs
Just do it!
Kind regards Rod

I use key steel from Blackwoods. Available in a range of sizes, both imperial and metric. Only problem maybe that the minimum is 4 mm in metric
