    Found it:

Note to self, when Googling for anything containing the string "bunny" or "bunnies" turn Safe Search on, don't search for images, or make sure SWMBO is in a good mood, or out of the house.

    Cheers,
    Andrew

(again) - took a few seconds for the penny to drop - it was "SWMBO out of the house" wot done it. It's OK - we'll support you if you have to defend your integrity...

Thanks WW. - I imagine it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it tickled my fancy the first time I saw a D9 (on the Disstonian site). Still not sure about that exagerated 'thumb groove' on the original. At first I planned to copy the original handle exactly, but I did a rough-up on some scrap to see what it looked like in the flesh, & I didn't like the look of it, so in the end I just used the tried & trusted template I've used on 4 or 5 other saws, & didn't try to make a real replica.

Have you started on any saws yet?

    Cheers,
    IW

I have several blades stashed away, but I haven't got any suitable timber for handles yet (I don't want to use Ash ). TBO is going to take me to a 'wood shop' of my choosing one weekend and I plan on stocking up on some 'saw handle' wood amongst others.

I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.

Thanks for the quick replies Ray and Ian. That gives me some info and encouragement to resume work on my first saw.

    Back to the shed
