    Hi Josh

The woodturners don't normally watch this forum. Best to post to WOODTURNING - GENERAL

As skews have a double bevel, it shouldn't matter which way you do it, that is unless you have ground one rolled edge, but don't remember that being part of the agreed design. I think there was an agreed angle for the skew.

    Ahh.
Not the skew turning chisels, the skews I'm referring to are the plane blade for a skewed miter plane (and yes it was agreed that there was not to be a bevel ground on these, but I thought that if the two people that order them knew which way they wanted them i could put them on the grinder and save them alot of hassle grinding/sharpening compound angle by hand)

I'm probably more excited to pop in and catch up with you guys than picking up my riving knife, so I will be coming down for sure, see what you have been up to, the video's of the grinding look amazing !!
Thanks Josh, I will talk to you about a date soon and try and drag Peter (lightwood) down too, he won't be able to resist as well !!

Received mine like 10 mins ago. Great results all around. Cheers to TS, Ray & Josh, and all members involved. A long journey for sure, but worthwhile effort.

Default Plane Blades and Chisels ( A progress report )

    Mine arrived today.
Thanks to all involved. The finish on these looks better than anything we have had done in the previous production runs that I've been involved in.
I'm looking forward to making a plane or two to use them in.
    Again I says thanks
    Kevin

    Default Plane Blades

Beautiful blades - now it is time to check the woodstock - make the decision laminate or solid?
    Sharpen the chisels
Get some O1 and the files out and make some tools

As those who have now started to receive their orders can now attest, the decision to go with RayG & Brobdingnagian has shown itself to be well worth the superlative workmanship and care they have show for this project, wishing you both boisterous cheers.

Thanks gentlemen. The blades arrived today. Cobb & Co takes a little longer to reach us than you city types .

The blades have come up beautifully. Superb job and very sexy looking too . But I have an issue. Now I'm concerned that I won't have the equivalent skills to clad them in timber!

Really looking forward to the chisels now .

    Regards
    Paul
