Sad, he died so close to completing his collection.
We don't know how lucky we are......

He probably died from the exertion in keeping them all clean
Amazing collection - there are a lot of extremely Collector tools, not just someone hoarding any- and everything.
I hope it gave him much pleasure in his life. I fear that it will raise far less than its value if sold all at once and to an audience that are just looking at them as tools and for a bargain. Unfortunately, selling to the Collector market - to which they rightly belong - would take years.

I see one or two tools that I can use.
Yes use.
Well sort of get around to using.

It would certainly be interesting to see what the prices are on these tools.
I note that it is a sale and not an auction.
What an amazing collection. Derek is right - how much time must be spent chasing the rust away! A bit like painting the Sydney Harbour Bridge I would think.
Seems to be heavily in favour of Stanley planes, although I did spot a solitary Sargent Auto-set.
Wouldn't it be nice to just have the leisure time to browse through this lot before they are all sold.

It looked like one of those levels had a barometer built in to it.

Tool overload! Never expected that to happen.
It is a great stash however. I reckon if they all land on the market at the same time could drive down the price. I'll be keeping an eye on the bay.
