Default Plane to a good home

    Hi
I was given this plane the other day and this is not my field. I hoping it might find a new home where it will be cared for and used. It comes as in the photos.
So if you or someone you know is local and you want it let me know

I always like Australian made stuff if no one else has a special interest in it

I have exactly that same no. 5 Falcon plane. The are pretty much interchangeable with Stanley's of the same era.

Nothing wrong with them at all !

I reckon you should do a restoration tread if you get this plane Dave.

I am a fan of the Falcon/Pope range and have restored a number (mostly given away). If you want it restored I will take it on - and I have a range of spares from many market wreck buys.
Let me know if you don't get any local takers; I am in West Gippsland VIC

    Default Size?

Is it an F5 or an F5 1/2?

    coffenup
It is free to go home.
Postage to SA is about $20

I do not know how to tell

    Loco1960 and Dave TTC
I would guess postage to you guy would be around $20

So if someone local does not wish to grab it (less work on my part) Then I will pack it up for one of you blokes or you can have someone pick up on your behalf....

I give it a few days see what happens

Dave.......If Rusel gives you this perfectly good Falcon plane, you have to promise that you don't use it to feed your new forge.

In your third photo, just behind the front knob, I can make out a "5", but I can't be sure if there's a "1/2" in the space behind that, or not.

However, an "F5" would be 60-63mm wide over the body, while an "F5 1/2" would be 70-73mm wide*.

    Cheers, Vann.

*edit: or up to 74.99mm wide

I'm too far away (and have too many planes already ), so I'm not in this race. I was just curious. Looks like it's down to DaveTTC, Loco1960 or Coffenup.
