Anyone know of a compact hand riveter, to fit into a tight spot. Standard head length is around 80 mm I want 50mm less.

I had a few cheapish riveters years ago which did OK for a while then I decided to buy a "decent" hand riveter.
I bought a Marson HP2 about ten years ago, it's pulled thousands of rivets including stainless, never failed and still has the original jaws.
They've been on the market for at least 20 years and the design hasn't changed so they've stood the test of time, mine is made in the USA but they might have off shored them by now.
I think I paid about $50 but I think they're still around that price with the aussie dollar so high.
As others have said Lobster are very good as well, Stanley quality has plummeted recently, they've gone into the mass consumer market.

Lazy tongs or an air riveter, nothing else needs saying.

Which models of Stanley did you buy? I would like to have some info so I could avoid them.

More rivetters.
This subject was discussed at length over in the swarf forum.
