River Lett Saw
I'm restoring an old River Lett saw. The logo is half worn and I'm looking for any photos of the logo so I can either make a new one or restore the old. Google doesn't help with this

Just took a photo of my two.

I can probably take some better ones tomorrow with natural light if you want some more.

Interesting
Two first time posters! Welcome to both of you. I went looking for the River Lett saws and did not find any more pictures other than Bobnowhere's. Ray Gardiner's Backsawnet website does have some references to Aussie made saws including the River Lett, which was apparently made by the Lithgow Small Arms factory.

As pictures seem to be so scarce, perhaps Wellington could put up a few.

Yeah there is very little information out there on them. Had a poke through Trove and found an article from the The Lithgow Mercury 19/05/1950:

Added a few full length pics. Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet
The little cross cut is in pretty decent shape, the rip sadly has some hardened goop/grease up around the handle. That one does have an etch though I can't quite make it out.

Thanks for those pix. It looks as though the decal was used as a substitute for a medallion.

There was a thread on Marsden/Lysaght ....
Aussie hand saw: Marsden (Lysaght Works)
and in it I linked to these two threads ...
Aussie made hand saws
and
WA Wood Show 2012
(my photos of the River Lett I saw have disappeared - I could find them again, but they were taking through the plexiglass display case, so they weren't too good)
Cheers,
Paul
