Scarf Joint
That terrible feeling when you have two smaller pieces of purpleheart (US $6000 worth), and all you want is one larger piece.

As you can imagine, some electricity is burned here, but I believe there is nothing missing of the spirit of hand-woodworking in this work.

I have been watching this series of videos on utube. No into sailing but interesting watching the woodwork. Not to mention the bandsaw.
