I saw that video and made a stick about 6 months ago. I really like it. Will also work with a camp for those who dont have holdfasts.

Dammit! Now I'm going to be haunting his blog until I can read the upcoming "two stick" article...
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

I really like the simple idea of the stick plus a plumb-bob for checking plumb.

A couple of years ago while doing some renovating my old Italian neighbour (a brickie) came over to chat. I was using a dumpy to mark my posts for bearers. He watched for a bit then went home and came back a moment later with a plumb bob about 500mm long and with a flourish said 'That's all we Italians needed to build Roma!'.
...I'll just make the other bits smaller.

Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best.
My age is still less than my number of posts
