    Default Scratch stock blades

I am looking for 2 scratch stock blades one with a 3/16 inch diameter bead and the other a 1/8 inch diameter bead. I am making the Huntboard by Garrett Hack for my year 12 major project in 2015 and am currently making prototypes of some of the parts for it. I am having trouble finding the cutter in the profile that I need. If any one can help let me know. Cheers WC

    Hi WC

The whole point of a scratch stock is to make you own profiles ...

Step one, cut off a section of the bandsaw steel. Step two, smooth the faces.

Step three is to file the desired profile. Here I am making a simple bead for illustration.

Step four is to make sure that all surfaces – face and edges – are polished as smooth as possible.

The one above was for a Stanley #66 beader. Below is another style ...
