Not important, just my curiosity got the better of me.

While cleaning up some Sidchrome screwdrivers the other day, it suddenly struck me that the red handles look very similar to the handles of Turner planes.

I know that Stanley took over both companies, but I was wondering if there were any links in the manufacturing of Sidchrome and Turner tools?

I thought Turner pioneered the use of cellulose acetate for tool handles, screwdrivers in particular, but Sidchrome were around at the same time and AFAIK have always had those red handles.

Just a coincidence?
