    Default It Simplicitiy's Fault !!!

On the last day of my 47th year I was out with Matt and Sally. As we walked thru a vareity of stores under the main roof, all sporting second hand goods, je dragged me back to something I missed.

For $12 this could be mine. $10 above my normal spend limit but I splurged.

Attachrd to this medallion and timber hander is a rip saw in ready to use condition. It needs tuning but it is sharp. The rust will rub off with use.

Upon arriving back at Matt's cave he showed me his shiny medallions ... i too could shine. Well the medallion anyway.

    Buffing done

    A view of the saw

At about 715 mm this is a No.4

For those of you metrically impared

So now I have another project. Not exactly sure the age or era ... early 1900's?

    From this https://www.gracesguide.co.uk/Joseph_Tyzack_and_Son
it seems I would be correct to say the say was made in the following time frame

    1847 - 1942

Immm I think with a little more diligent research, we might be able to get a little closer with time frame.

So far I have not find any catalogues but going with some observations from Matt I'll take a stab at arlimd 1920's

There is no lambs tongue on the handle would seem to indicate more recent. At 4TPI and 28" long would an older version have had a labs tongue handle?

    Thoughts?
