Talking Spiers from a garage sale

    I had to share this.
    I brought 3 planes for a $100 last saterday.
11.00 am, dozens of people must have ignored them by then.
    From left to right-
A Spiers scottish style infill plane.
A Record No 10 carriage plane.
    A Record No 4

They will all clean up nicely.
    I'm so very happy.

    G'day Polaris,

Lucky bloke. Seeing as it's a Norris there and they musn't have known what they were selling, did you try and knock the price down further?

Struth, Poloris, you must've thought it too good to be true!

    Poloris,
Hope you didn't dislocate your shoulder whipping out your wallet like I did when I saw a nice Record #7 for $50. Your score is an order of magnitude better again!

Haggle, Waldo? You'd have to be a cool customer to try that - I wouldn't have been able to contain my excitement!

Looks like Rosewood bun & tote - let's see it cleaned up?

    G'day,

Yep in excitement it's a hrd thing to do. Like for example I bought an 18v cordless DeWalt at a garage sale I wasn't going to but it was next door to the one I'd judt been to - had nothing wrong with it, traddie wanted $40 for it, I asked him why was he getting rid of it? And he said he'd bought another one, so I tried it out and gave himm the money, SWMBO asked if I haggled, .
