Stanley 10 1/2 Replacement Frog
Hi All ,
I have a Stanley 10 1/2 carriage makers plane with a missing frog.
Can anyone tell me if the frog is specific to that model or interchangable with the frog from another stanley plane ie a no 4 or 5 for example.
Thanks
Joez

Hi joez, I just looked at what Patrick Leach has to say, and I get the impression that a #3 frog will fit the 10 1/2, although he doesn't say so directly. I've got a Stanley 10 1/2, but don't have a #3 to compare it with. Likely someone out there will know for sure, but if not, I can get some measurements from my frog & you can compare with a #3....
Cheers,IW
