Stanley 4C Resto
Well this one has been bugging me for ages, so i finially got to it.
It's a 4C pat. date 1910
Didn't do to much really, just Scotchbrited the rust off, wire wheeled the threads, buffed up the brass, scraped off the green paint drops, lapped the sole, sanded peeling laquer from knob on lathe, (note knob fits great on my pen mandrel) glued the handle back in shape sharpened the blade and vola! it's now up there with the best performing planes I own.
Now i have about 8 others to do... hummm when will it rain again.
enjoy,
