    Default stanley 66

I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about a stanley 66. I just had one come to me and I'm not sure if I should sell or hang on to it.. looks like they might be kinda rare?
    cheers

These are completed listings, to give you an idea of what they're worth. They aren't all that rare, but they can be useful.

Lie-Neilsen have shaped scraper blades, blanks to make your own contours, and fences ( which need minor filing to fit)

Check out Derek Cohen web site " in the workshop with Derek Cohen and go to the section Shop Made Tools and item on improving the #66.
If you are missing blades you can make your own by purchasing floor scraper blades from Bunnings tool dept, these blades are saw quality steel and the material is able to be cut up into strips using a angle grinder using the thin cut off disks. By the way this same material has been used by members to make a range of tenon saws, it also makes good cabinet makers scrappers.

thanks everyone, looks like I'll have to figure out how to use it now... its a B casting and has a straight fence and 2 cutters , its nickle plated I'll stick a photo up shortly.

Mine was from my coachbuilder grandfather and was with a straight fence only.
I used information from Derek's post to modify a bronze curved fence (useful for inside curves) from Lie-Neilsen. It is a very simple modification. Good luck
