replacement Stanley Plane Blade
TS.
After giving it some further thought can I change the finish to my Stanley blade to
"Stage 1 finish No Bevel".
This will save any problem with postage.
Sorry for messing about,
Mac

seanz, Malcolm Eaton, Theodor, Willard and Ray153, I have updated your preference for Stanley Plane Blade Bevels.
Next week, companies will start coming back from xmas holidays. We have 8 Stanley Plane blades still up for grabs. We need to allocate them now.
I would love to start the ball rolling asap. Collecting funds, Securing the steel from Bohler, organizing the running around and e.t.a.'s with Bohler, Rippon, and Surface Tech.

Hi TS,
I'd prefer my plane blades with a primary bevel.
Thanks,
Geoff

Hello OG
You are just in. I have added you to the order.
We now only have 3 Stanley Plane Blades left, and about the same number of Chisel's sets left.

TS
It should be interesting to see how many of your chisels and plane blades end up in the tool competition http://www.woodreview.com.au/competi...handtoolcomp3/
Hope they at least give you credit

I have just updated the Batch 03 spreadsheet. At this stage we have 3 to 4 Stanley Plane Blades left and 3 Chisel set's left. So if you are sitting on the side lines, watching these blades and chisels are the your last chance to opt-in.
I would like to wrap this up asap, as I will be moving in three weeks time again, after which time I will have no more time to commit to any more bulk buys. So can members please confirm any details that I need to fulfill the order.
The following members need to tell me if they want a bevel or no bevel on the Stanley replacement blades. No bevel is $5 cheaper, but it means you will have to spend 3 minutes grinding a bevel on 2.5 mm steel, which is a really easy job if you have a bench grinder.

Can all members confirm that the detail recorded in the attached PDF is correct for their order. PM me if I need to make any corrections.
I would like to start collecting the funds for the Stanley Plane Blades, and Cap Irons, by the start of next week. The chisels sets and plane blades for wooden hand planes will be finalized at a later date, and once we have enough to fill an order. I will PM out detail to all members, it will work exactly the same way it has for all the batch order's I have organized.
*EDIT*
I need to do the following by Wednesday 21/01/09.
- Call Warren Spencer about M2 sheet usable for prototypes as well as place the order for the two sheets for Stanley Plane Blades.
- Call Laser cutters to see if they are open, and if its all green for go.
- Call Nicole about the cap screws and confirm details.
- Figure out how many of each size of cap iron's we need.
- Work out how much each members order comes to.
PROBLEMS
Finding a piece of M2 sheet to make prototypes from is looking problematic. As no one sell's cut up sheet. I will talk to Warren.
