Hi Thumbsucker,
First of all thanks for all the hard work you have done for everybody, and its great that it is nearly at an end.
Just one small problem in the latest version of the spread sheet I think you have me mixed up with somebody else. I paid $131.00 on 28th Sept via Bankwest. Then I paid a further $6.00 on 1st Oct via Bankwest again.
Your records are
28SEP10 MECU 120.00 (Jerryj)
01OCT10 BANKWEST 6.00 (Jerryj)
Note I dont have an account with MECU.
Regards Jerry Lowe
ps I have sent you this infomation in a PM before. I have check my records and you have me mixed up with somebody else.
Cheers

Jerryj - I found your two despots of $131 + $6 which comes to $137.
Your two blades & cap irons come to $138, I am not fussed about the $1 but if you are happy to give the $5 donation for the running around it will be appreciated.
We now only have a single Blades & Cap iron @ 2 3/8". The blade is $48 and the cap iron $15. This is what we have now

Plane Blades and Cap Irons
Hi TS
You have a most unenviable job trying to keep track of all the payments. I have previously advised, on 13 May and 21 May 2011, that I have paid in the following amounts, with references:
14 October 2010. $132. BSA Bill Payment (Five Thumbs)
25 October 2010. $3 BSA Bill Payment Five
1 Febuary 2011. $1 BSA Bill Payment Plane Irons Five
The total of $136 is for two blades and cap irons.
These payments match those you have listed in your spreadsheet and in various queries seeking the owner of such deposits.
Please confirm when you have the time.
Cheers
Five Thumbs
P.S. I have also sent a $5 donation in for the surface grinding.

Any progress with the grinding? It must be pretty close to being finished now...

Hi Stu
I will be going to Melbourne from Canberra next week as I expect that the grinding will be done. I want to meet up with a few blokes like Dj and Kevjed, and I want to go and visit RayG to talk to him about future jobs. While I am in Melbourne I want to oversea the postage of the items to make sure we have no kinks in the system. I would say its about two weeks away before we all will have our Stanley Plane Blades.

I did not join in this second plane blade order. But I got a blade from Thumbs for a Woody jointer that I wanted to make.
He should be congratulated for all the hard work that he has done. It would send me nuts, not only the efficiency of organizing a proficient and quality product but the paperwork required to do it.
We are so very fortunate on this great forum for the dedicated and wonderful people we have here that offer their knowledge so freely. We are indeed a Band of Brothers ( and Sisters too ).

Wot he said. Organising the large-scale production of a product like this is quite an impressive achievement!

Payment of funds
Helmut
I would like to say thank you for the effort you & others, have put in over close on two years to bring this project close to fruition.
I am also very pleased that after several attempts you have been able to verify that I did pay what I was asked to. This was important to me as I take care in honouring commitments I make, & it concerns me when this is questioned. I have paid an additional $6.00. Five dollars of which, is for the work done by DJ and $1.00 which you say is outstanding but that I cannot reconcile.
I believe that for projects as complex as this, it is only fair and reasonable that those who contribute effort, receive fair recompense. However, I suggest this be properly assessed at the start of a project & a cost identified. I doubt anyone would have an issue with paying for these expenses, & it would be much fairer for all concerned.
Thanks & regards

Hello all
I spoke to John at Rippon and he has confirmed that he has finished the surface grinding of the replacement stanley bench plane blades.
All he needs to do, is sort, count and package the blades and all will be ready for pick up.
I am going down to Melbourne to oversea payment for the blades, and to make sure the postage goes off without a hitch.
I am hoping to pick up the blades on Wednesday 20th of July, and to have the postage done Thursday & Friday.
This means that most of you should have your items between the 25th to the 29th of July depending on where you live and Australia post.
Postage Address
Can you please forward me your postal address asap. Including your full name if you have not yet done so.

Anyone up for a bit of stealth work in Moolap or Page tonight?
You two might want to ask a Mod to delete your posts. Sending personal information by PM might be the safer option in future!.
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.
Regards, Woodwould.
