Hi guys, anyone know where i would get some new blades for a Stanely Router plane Model 071.

I think you could get some made if you can't buy them. This especially applies to the blade with the cutter attached using a screw.
You may need the exact dimensions from someone who has a router plane. Contact me if you live close by and you can measure my blades if you want to go in this direction.- Wood Borer

Stanley still make blades for the router planes, so you might want to check with them or a good toolshop and see if they can get them in. I know a few places over there (points east) sell them as part of their stock, so a little 'click' shopping might solve the problem too.

Stanley have them in their repair catalouge if you can supply Bunnings a part No thay can get the parts in for you if you want a copy of the catalouge PM me and with your email address and I will email it to you.

Hey Sinjin,
How did you go getting the cutters?
I've recently acquired a #71 but it only has one (7mm) cutter and would like to get at least a V cutter as well.Dan

For those sweating blades for a #71 - we'll have those in the fall too....while our router plane is quite a bit different - we did make the blades compatible....
