    Default Starret Combination Square

Does anybody know whether there is a longer rule for the Starret combination than the conventional 300mm and also in metric at perhaps 450mm?

    Cheers

    Yep, Starret sell them.

Can be seen here at the Veritas site. When I asked them about the longer rule (in metric) they said special order, long wait, yada, yada, yada....

Also if you look here you'll find a large range of Starrett stuff.

It appears that the imperial 18inch rule is pretty common, and the metric not so common (in the US), so, if your after the metric in Aus you may be in trouble.

    Johnno,

    Try http://www.toolsforworkingwood.com/M...egory_Code=TMS

Also, I bought my 300mm set from the states and was a hell of a lot cheaper than here in Aus.

    regards,

Try the Lee Valley site in Canada http://www.leevalley.com/home/main.asp .
If it is not in the catalogue, send an e-mail asking for what you want and whether metric or imperial. I did that to get a metric rule, 300mm, for my Starrett and they bent over backwards to help me.
    Cheers from Albany.

It only takes one drink to get me loaded. Trouble is, I can't remember if it's the thirteenth or fourteenth.

Rather late response, but to all respondents thank-you for your directions I am in the process of working thru them and perhaps then arrive at a solution.

Hope you all enjoy a relaxed festive season perhaps with time out in a pastime of your choosing.

    Cheers
