    Ian, I can empathise with microscopy I was in Haematology for the last 26 years of my working life and spent a lot of time scanning blood films and doing differentials and was even the only WHO accredited malaria microscopisist in Qld Health. I wonder what they did when I left.
    As for medical funds I see woodworking as being far more relevant to physical and mental health than any of the alternative rubbish they will fund (think reiki and rebirthing). Reiki is a pseudoscience that claims to tap into your life force by passing the practitioners hand over the patients body without any touching.All the best
