Unusual chisel/gouge
When scratching around in my my tool collection over the last few day I came across a chisel and a gouge which I think may be unusual. The first one is a Titan 1" firmer chisel with a blue band on the handle. What is the significance of the blue & red handles? This is not a forged tool - it has been stamped out and both edges are torn and uneven, which appears to me to be the result of a blunt stamping die
The second one is what I think is a Marples brand gouge - the stamping is difficult to read. It is also stamped with the year "1943" a "broad Arrow" next to it.
Would these two tools be of interest to collectors?Just Do It !
