I'd like but won't get a Bandsaw and a Drill Press.
Of course there is more I would like associated to my new addiction for turning, a set of every type of jaws for the chuck, another chuck, a large mouth connection for my dusty and more tubes connectors etc., some nice calipers, new smaller tool rest, some chisels of my own, hollowing tool, chisel sharpening jig, a host of books on turning and an infinite amount of timber to turn into curly shavings at my feet.......mmmmmmm.........
but most of all I'd like the time to spend properly setting up my shed to make the time I do get as productive as possible......
HH.Always look on the bright side...

I'm hoping for a Meranda Kerr.
Other things include:
• full set of Bergs in socket and bevel
• Metabo Duo
• lotsa clamps
• router bits
• lotsa nice timber
• a bigger shed
• some Japanese saws and chisels
• wet stones
• some 10" blades to the t/saw
• some vitamins
The chances of any of it - maybe
The chances of all of the tools - none
The chances of Miranda Kerr - didly

I want for nothing, excpet the time to get something done.
Time? You were lucky to 'ave that!"Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so."

I hope that your order from Mike Wenzloff arrives in time for Xmouse Ian.
Out of interest, what type of timber did you request for the handle? There have been some beautiful pictures of cocobolo handles from Mike W.
I think that his standard handle is in bubinga, which looks pretty good to me.
I noticed that Lee Valley have his saws available with bubinga handles as well.
Good luck mate - I hope that santa and his elves are on time for you this year.

Scribbly, it's Mirboo who has various appendages crossed that his Wenzloff comes down the chimney with Santa
but speaking of Wenzloff saws, I'm just back from the [Sydney] Traditional Tools Group bimonthly meeting.
For the meeting, Peter Evans, who occasionally posts here, had arranged the loan of demo saws from
- Lie-Nielsen (Australia) — L-N's dovetail (15ppi rip) and carcass (14ppi x-cut)
- Lee Valley (Canada) — 3 of Mike Wenzloff's production (as opposed to custom) saws — I think they were the small tenon, carcass, rip dovetail)
- a Gramancy (which I've probably spelt wrong) — I don't know which model, or who owns/loaned the saw
- an Adria — I think it was one of the tenon saws, but again I don't know for sure, nor who owns/loaned the saw
However, the saw that stood out to me was the Wenzloff rip dovetail — its balance in the hand seemed perfect. Mirboo is one lucky (or well organised) bugger.
Those in the TTG who profess to know, recon that "in the hand" the Wenzloff is closest to a 19th century saw.
On my own behalf, I'd like to express my appreciation to Rob Lee for loaning the Wenzloff saws (including postage to Australia) to The Traditional Tools Group to try.
I'd also like to express my appreciation to David Eckert of Lie-Nielsen (Australia) for the loan of the L-N demo saws
and also my appreciation to whoever loaned the Gramancy and Adria saws
