The CI wing and better fence make it a better machine than the earlier one you posted but I agree $650 is too much especially as it is only a 2HP machine. Maybe $500?

So the 11/2kw refers to one and a half kws ? Lol. I was reading it as eleven/two kW and not making sense

I don't think it is even a 3 pole switch, here is the exact replacement switch from H&F. Same number and two pole (4 screw) Although it does look like it could possibly have an extra set of contacts put in that housing I have seen that before

I think BobL meant 3P as 3 phase not 3 pole

Hi guys, thanks for the advice and comments so far.
Looking at a Jet JWSS-10LFR. Anybody had experience with this particular model (LFR??)
My concerns are that another Jet model with nearly identical model numbers has bad reviews due to blade raising mechanism using a belt that snaps and is hard to get new? Also, what about lack of left side mitre slot??
Thanks

If I were contemplating buying this saw, I'd factor in the cost to have an electrician replace the switch with one like this
or this
or if the wiring permits, a no volt release switch
I just don't like how with the current switch, the OFF button is recessed into the switch, with the on button proud.regards from Alberta, Canada
