I have room to leave it set up but would prefer on wheels or I can build into my mobile work table and double it as an outfeed.
The seller of the Jet saw was difficult to deal with and very slow to respond. By the time he answered 2 of my questions, he’d just about sold it to someone else. One of my pet peeves is people who advertise for sale items then very slow to respond to any communication [emoji31]

Well on gumtree you are usually dealing with private sellers who are dealing with everything else life brings. That's one of the reasons private sales are so cheap.
I think from memory my saw is 150 kg. It's on wheels and my garage is carpeted. I drag it around no problems, so if your shed is concrete any saw should be able to be moved easily.
Panel saws are huge but are wonderful things. You can usually remove the peripheral bits and strip them down into a good cabinet saw, storing the bits in case you ever get a workshop big enough to house the full saw.
As I said previously you should be looking for:
A good top, cast iron or cast aluminium, not sheet steel.
A good mechanism. Easy smooth accurate blade positioning. "Proper" saws run MUCH quieter than your triton. You will be amazed at the difference. You also need the blade to run true.
Standard miter slots. You can probably get by with one. I almost never use the one to the right of my blade.
Ideally you'd get a saw with the usual top. I think they are 28" wide have 2 slots and the facility to bolt on wings. It is a good bonus to get a good fence but truth is most standard fences are rubbish.
3 phase machine are really cheap. They are often industrial quality and can be converted to single phase economically. Cabinet saws are often well built and as I say can be wheeled around on concrete no problems.I'm just a startled bunny in the headlights of life. L.J. Young.

Gee I hate the internet sometimes. I just posted a list of saws and it got lost. Now I have to do it again.
So currently on gumtree near brisbane:
https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/manl...jet/1202793806
This jet is probably better than the one you posted and it's on wheels. Last I looked mobile bases were about $90 so there is a saving there. It's only 1 1/2 hp and probably overpriced but a better option than the one you listed.
https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/alba...saw/1202784283
The cheap option. $180 albany creek would suit building into a workbench as you mentioned.

This is the machine trade tools offered after they discontinued mine. It's not as good a machine as mine. They were $750ish new but that one has a biesemeyer fence which is an expensive bit of gear. I think I found one on amazon for $370US. I have not used one as I have an incra but people here seem to like them. This is what they calla hybrid saw. It is sheet steel cabinet like a contractors saw but instead of the motor hanging out the back it's in the box. Cabinet saws have heavier bases and often heavier mechanisms.I'm just a startled bunny in the headlights of life. L.J. Young.

Decided on the Hafco ST-10SD. Brought it home yday, just finished unloading (with the help of a neighbour) as it’s too heavy to move around off a trailer and over grass by yourself.
Haven’t tested yet at home but looks in good nick and needs a clean up, something to keep me away from the TV [emoji12]

Hi Bm,
have just been cleaning the saw and making it look nice so far, haven’t used it yet to cut timber.
It didn’t come with a blade guard or riving knife or splitter, so I’ve been researching for options (or lack of options to be more exact).
Because of the type of saw housing, anything I attach as riving or splitter will stay put rather than move with the saw blade, so not ideal, but I only cut through sheet panels, so never had any problems with jamming of blades on the old Triton. Probably won’t need a splitter or similar.

Hi Poundy,
Not having much luck with finding a viable option for blade following riving knife, or a cheap blade guard. The divider or splitter may end up being in a fixed position for 90deg cuts, but removed for any other angle or grooves, which I can live with I guess

I suppose I'll get yelled at for this but all the years I've had my saw I've pretty much never used a splitter riving knife or blade guard. I think I put it on once for one job.
Very occasionally a job will close up on me but nearly every time I have an problem it's because the fence has moved out of square.
YMMV.I'm just a startled bunny in the headlights of life. L.J. Young.

I’m in the same boat. I rarely cut anything thicker than 32mm panels, usually 12-19mm particle board or ply, and this stuff is pretty stable so not likely to close up. If I’ve had to, I’ve used a plastic shin to wedge open the kerf.
This has been the case on my Triton with circular saw, will see how this works with something a bit more powerful

Yes I use wooden wedges. Good luck.
