Adapting a Incra 1000SE to fit a Hammer K3.
I'm going to try something a bit crazy here.......If it doesn't work...no matter.
I'm going to cut a new track out in jarrah, that fits the Hammer and I can attach the Incra to.
I will try jarrah, as its reasonable hard and I can cut it out with my CNC Router. Using this will allow me to cut it a lot more accurately than using the table saw. ( my first attempt was with delrin on the table saw....result was 'ok- ish'
Something like that in Ali may be attempted later, if it has promise.
Going to change the fasteners to metric and use Insert Nuts in the Jarrah to screw into.
I know it probably won't be as good as a Double Mitre, but it may be good enough for my needs....only one way to find out.

I got the track cut out and fitted to the Hammer's slot. Is nice and snug. The Thread inserts fit, but are not glued in yet. Will probably epoxy them in seeing as they have some tension on them.
A bit more work to do....

I finally got the parts I needed to finished this today.
The new track insert is very snub in the sliding table track and when I set the Incra, it clamps it all in place and I just move the sliding table to make cuts.
I did a couple of test cuts and it seems ok. Will be a lot less unwieldy if I need to make some small mitre's and I won't have to set the outrigger up every time.
Will see how it goes in the long term.
