Hi All,

I'm looking for some advice on buying a new blade for the Jet 10" Proshop table saw.

According to the riving knife that came with the saw (which is 2.3mm thick), I need a minimum 3mm kerf blade. I am wanting to buy a 40-50T combination blade such as the Freud D1050x. Looking at the specs of this blade I notice that the kerf is 2.49mm thick. I have read online that as long as the riving knife is thicker than the blade body but thinner than the kerf it should be ok although I'm not sure if this is too close or is usable?

If this isn't acceptable, can anyone recommend me an alternative blade that I can purchase in Australia?

I can't find a thin kerf riving knife that is offered by Jet. I also don't want to have to alter the current riving knife.

I've tried looking in the usual places but can't seem to find a blade that suits.

Thanks in advance.
