Advice needed on a blade for the Jet 10" Proshop table saw
Hi All,
I'm looking for some advice on buying a new blade for the Jet 10" Proshop table saw.
According to the riving knife that came with the saw (which is 2.3mm thick), I need a minimum 3mm kerf blade. I am wanting to buy a 40-50T combination blade such as the Freud D1050x. Looking at the specs of this blade I notice that the kerf is 2.49mm thick. I have read online that as long as the riving knife is thicker than the blade body but thinner than the kerf it should be ok although I'm not sure if this is too close or is usable?
If this isn't acceptable, can anyone recommend me an alternative blade that I can purchase in Australia or overseas at a reasonable cost?
I can't find a thinner kerf riving knifes that are offered by Jet. I also don't want to have to alter the current riving knife. Also the arbor size is 5/8" (15mm).
Thanks in advance.

Hi Brenton
That blade sounds fine to use with the riving knife ...
I use blades that are less than the RK with my saw without any issues

Can I suggest that you look at the Freud Industrial line?
the LU84R011 50 tooth combination blade is a regular (rather than thin) kerf blade Freud Tools | 10" Combination Blade
and in my market, it's only $10 more than the thin kerf Diabloregards from Alberta, Canada

Thanks for your suggestions. Also, sorry for the duplicate post. I was having trouble posting for some reason and tried about 4 times before one worked but then a second one also appeared later.
