Default Bosch Optiline table saw blades

Does anyone have any comments regarding the Bosch Optiline saw blades.

I'm looking to get a finer cut 10" blade for my saw table, a 60t or 80t blade and these seem like a good middle price range option.

Hopefully a link to the blade...

Depending on the saw you have, you will need to get a blade bushing for each blade. Despite the implication on the packaging that they include a set of bushings the two I bought only had one bushing, the thinnest one (30>25mm?) and I have a saw with a 16mm spindle.

I have yet to use these blades, they were bought for a project that is stalled due to lack of enthusiasm.

I ended up getting a 10" 60t blade late this afternoon and just had time to do a couple of quick cross cuts. My spindle is a 1" or 25.4 and the blade came with 2 reducers for it's 30mm arbour. One takes it down to 25.4 and another to 25 so no problems fitting it.

The cross cut produced a beautifully shiny finish so pretty happy with that compared to the 40t blade that was in there. Blade ran quietly. Will need to do a few rip tests to see how it goes. Might be a bit slower than the 40t blade but hopefully a good result.

been using the 80t for a while now in my 10inch tablesaw great for crosscuts ripping have to take it slow but good results have found the optiline very good for the price

I'm looking for a replacement blade for a 12" contractor saw. I'm expecting to only really use it for ripping. I notice the 305mm Optiline is available in 40, 60 and 120 teeth versions.

How much difference would I find between using a 40 and a 60 tooth blade?

    Dear Fuzzie,

I have got exactly that blade - ie. the Optiline 12" x 40 tooth - and I use it for ripping. It's a very Good Thing for the money (t'was $45 from Glenfords...). Don't get the 60 tooth. It will be too many teeth. And my saw is a direct-drive Site Saw (as in 2950rpm), so if yours is belt-drive (as in more rpm than mine), you'll have even more reason than me to not get the 60 toother! Less is better with Ripping...

    Best Wishes,
    Batpig.
