Where to buy - 5/8" ID to 1" OD Arbor Bushing for table saw
Anyone know where I can buy a arbor bushing for my new 1" ID Freud blade so it will fit on the 5/8" arbor of the saw?
I found them on Amazon readily enough and they won't ship to AU (how typical), but can't seem to find them locally...
Doesn't seem like a very complex problem, but needs to be very precise. The one I have is a little small on the OD and the vibration is completely unacceptable.
Any assistance is welcome

Fairly sure that Bunnings sell them where the sawblades are.
Also quite a few different ones on Ebay type in "sawblade bush"
Or your local saw sharpening place?

The Carbatec ones are a better fit than the Bunnings ones. Those were the droids I was looking for.

Bunnings only sell them as a job lot in a packet
use the one you want and throw the rest out - seems a waste to meregards

Thanks for the link to Carbatec. I searched their site previously, but the search is USELESS.
I put 3 in the basket... $6 and they wanted $18 postage, so Ill add a few more things
A wood thread box and some snug plugs. I love an excuse to add more on

Hi Evanism,
I had a Freud blade with a 1" hole and had a bush fitted to reduce to 5/8" and had terrible vibration. In the end I gave up and just stuck to blades with 5/8" holes.
Strange thing is I have an el cheapo blade with a bush which runs perfectly. Apparently those top notch blades are sprung or have tension or something, and the bush insert can sometimes upset that fine balance. (at least that's my interpretation of the expert advice I was given at the time)
Anyhow, don't mean to be Mr negative, but I'm interested to see how you go.
BTW the bush was supplied and fitted by the saw specialist as I didn't want to stuff it up myself.

The $35 10" 36T Chinese Bosch blade I bought for ripping possibly naily stuff had 4 different diameter washers in it. Haven't hit any nails yet and it's quite a good rip blade.

Hi Evan,
The bushing you have is probably 25mm not 1". I was unable to get a 1" bushing when I first needed one so ended up making one using a bit of 1" copper pipe and some brass rod up the middle - works great! I don't use it much these days having mainly blades with a 5/8" centre hole.
