Carba Tech ?
looking to purchase a sliding table saw in the 5k budget range we have looked at a carbatech 3.2 m sliding panel saw but not used one b4 any one got any veiws on this saw and brand
are they accurate ?
travel of slide etc...
any help would be much appreciated

what do you want to do with it? do you want a table saw or a panel saw? how much work will it do? If you don't really need one I find that a sliding table tends to get in the way.

Ye We Make Vanities And The Odd Kitchen Using Festool Saw On A Bench At The Mo And Find That It Slipps A Little Causing The Cut To Be Slightly Out Of Square.
Need To Be Able To Rip Big Sheets Etc We Have The Space In One Of The Sheds So Will Re-
Organise

I wouldn't bother with that machine for ripping down full sheets. I've owned a carbatec knock off of it. It made me money, but it was a struggle working with full sheets on it. I bought a Casolin astra with a 3.2M slider on Ebay a few years ago and it's been great. I would love to upgrade to something with a programmable rip fence and digital read outs on the cross cut fence but that's a while off yet. I've looked at the panel saw offerings at Carbatec and they're good value, with reasonable to good quality, depending which model. Before commiting to purchasing one though, a trip to see them in the flesh would be in order.

thanks for the info will go and look tommorrow like you say need to make sure it feels good, slide doesnt have any free play etc normally you know when you see it wether its ok or not will also check out the saw you mentioned
