Default Cheap rip blade for Jet proshop...

G'day. I am planning to get a thin kerf splitter from sharkguard for my older Jet Proshop so I can use the thin kerf diablo blades. They are way behind with their orders (3 months) so I need a cheap rip blade to tide me over. Any suggestions for a 10" 5/8 arbor?

    Regards

Events over took plan A, and so I ordered and received a pair of Freud Industrial thin kerf blades (30T and 24T) from the US. Unfortunately they were not available in Australia and substitute items were expensive, and postage needed to be added. I tested the 24T blade on a 4' length of Jarrah 2" thick. It cut easily and very quietly, the finish was very smooth, and no chipping or tearing of the surface was evident. I am very happy with the blade, and the accuracy of the cut. Now all I need is a second table saw so I do not have to change blades for when I need the 80T Irwin Professional which I use for plywood sheets...

    Hi Wol,

Would you mind posting the part number of the 30t blade and where you bought it? I would like to upgrade the rip blade on my saw.

    Thanks very much.

I bought the blades from routerbitworld (http://www.routerbitworld.com/), although they are available from many places including Rockler. (http://www.rockler.com/). I ended up with the LM75R010 (30T) for up to 1" thick rip cuts and the LU87R010 (24T) for thicker cuts. Note I ordered two as postage was the same for one or two blades. I reccomend you check the specifications to make sure they are what you want.

    Regards

I think it was $46USD for the pair priority international flat box 8.5" x 11" (don't worry about that size, turns out to be a flat rate for a range of boxes). I will check.

    Regards.
