Default DeWalt DW744 Table saw Motor has died

    Hi,
I'm on the lookout for a replacement motor for a DW744 Type2 Tablesaw. Mine has died and local service centers cannot find a replacement part.
    Thanks

Hi Pat, I burnt out a motor in my makita TS Fried my TS motor. and found parts at toolspareparts.com.au
Don't know if they sell to NZ but I had a quick look on their site and found your saw Genuine Spare Parts for ALL the biggest brands from Makita, Ryobi, Hitachi, and more DeWalt DW744XP - Type 2 Spare Parts
The diagram numbers aren't showing for some reason on my iPad but looking down the list they've got the armature for $165 and request price for the field. I don't think you'll be able to get a complete motor as such.

Hi , I ordered a part which was listed as the correct type , however on arrival it was for suitable - different arbor length. I contacted dewalt head office while in the states and there have zero replacements. I ended up selling mine for parts on trade me.
Sorry I can't give better news
