Freud Fusion TS blade - wow
I know many of you already have one, but I got the Fusion combination blade this week from Major Woodworking.
Talk about exceeding expectations! Quieter, cleaner, thinner. Ripped some spotted gum with lots of wavy grain, and the finish was superb.
What a lovely bit of kit.
Good for id, ego, and superego alike. Thanks Mr Freud.

I went to have a look at the site - $175! How does it compare to CMT or Infinity (from Northwood Tools).

Well, I read Dean's review of the Infinity blade, and bit the bullet and bought one from Northwood for $95. Not quite a Freud Fusion, but a bit more affordable.

James,
Apologies for taking so long to respond. Work keeps interfering with my hobby
Haven't used the Infinity, so I can't compare. Certainly an incredible improvement from my old (and probably worn) CMT.
