Not Happy with a local distributor Perth
Hello all
Been a wile since I made a post. And thank you to the well wishers and yes I.m doing much better
I also need to make a small correction as my wife keeps hounding not to say heart attack but stroke, Anyway to me same area in the chest and only recently regained most of my left side
So I'm very happy about that being a lefty.
So during that time I been saving my dollars. Looking to upgrade from my little Band saw and the Triton not that I'm not happy with it I just want to expand a bit better.
As I been looking around online and reading older post and some archived one .I decide well bite the bullet, I have enough saved ask local shop for a packet deal on laguna fusion and Band saw 14" Bx (mid range model of 1412 and svu) purely because i wanted the foot brake system on the band-saw and the fusion has E-stop mounted on the top, bit pricey but it's was the best quality I could afford and size perfect to accommodate me for years on end, I asked for best price pls. Not a prob rep said just let me make a few calls. Now I already called a mob in eastern state for the same stuff, they only gave me 150 off total retail and almost a grand to deliver. So waiting for the rep I had to go so ask him to call me. The bloody exact same Deal as the east. Not really a deal is it?
Maybe it's me but shouldn't the local distributor have some stock on display, there was plenty before X-mass well 5 Item but 2 of them was what i been looking at and even just a tad lower priced but I did not have the funds and delivery was less than 100.00
Not a happy Bear
regards
Panda
P.s. Looking at alternates Tomorrow and can anyone tell me if there's a Harvey or Baileigh's distributor in Perth cause IDE like to have a look a them to sometime tomorrow

Glad to see you on the way to some sawdust making WAPANDA!!!
As for the pricing I guess to some extent you are suffering from the tyranny of distance.
Don't forget your local deler has a business to maintain and that he has to charge enough to"cover"himself.
I remember buying a tractor many years ago and the deal was too good to resist but I asked the dealer - also
a personal friend - if he had left enough margin to cover himself ( problems, faults etc.) He went back and reworked
the deal. Sure I paid a bit extra but was glad to have done so because I had a minor problem and that was fixed post
haste. It also meant I got very good service with other purchases.
If you put it to your local dealer bluntly that if you pay his price you expect faultless service you may be surprised.
Your east coast deal will be a long way off if you have a problem!

Since its on a pallet, use EGO couriers pallet service. To WA, especially Perth, it can't be beaten.

You can freight things from the West to the East for half the price it costs to send them the other way. Gives you a fair idea of what direction most of the freight is moving. If your local distributor was in the fortunate position of importing things direct you would probably get a better deal, but what are the chances of him moving enough stock to get the price on cost and freight to make the exercise work? It's a lot harder then most people think it is. As artme points out, you have to leave something in it for the other guy.
Cheers,
David

Did a quick quote with Evanism's courier with some guesses on locations and sizes and came up with $330 to a Perth depot as I don't know your location or where you might be sourcing it from.

thank all for your help
I was a but frustrated that day and sorry if anyone was put out
and as for the bloke who said sorry if you sound like "that guy"no worries
I do know the difference between the two
but when it actually hits and its in the same area you feel the pain
at the point in time you really cant comprehend the difference between the two
and when you wake up in hospital and you cant move the left side or most it
you still think heart anyway
it's how i felt maybe its different for others but I'm sure
we all have our own way to comprehend what happen at the point in time
anyway thank you for being that guy
regards
