Home made saw blade guard
One of the 85 year old blokes at the mens shed knocked up this TS blade guard that I thought you might like to see.
It's made from a sandwich of 3 pieces of 1/2" perspex just bolted together..
When I asked ho about dust extraction he said it wasn't worth it as guards are useless at dust extraction.
This bloke has made more than a dozen guards mainly for for saws, planers and thicknessers.
He sure does a nice job.

Just bought some 8mm Perspex to make a blade guard. Thanks for supplying the design I'm hoping to add a dust port.
Cheers

I agree with youth you - but you know how these old timers are.
I have to keep reminding myself that we're all headed that way.
