Jet 10" Xacta Cabinet Saw - Discounted by Carbatec
I've just noticed that Carbatec are discounting this saw (JET-JTAS10LDX) by over $1000. I've owned a Jet contractors saw for many years and have been really happy with it.
It seems like a very good deal or am I missing something?

Jet 10" Xacta Cabinet Saw - Discounted by Carbatec
I own this saw and have had no problems with it. Maybe Jet have stopped making them? Or carbatec is pushing other brands and are trying to get rid of excess stock?

I saw the page (haha)... Im surprised by the SawStop prices, they seem to be going up - substantially... https://www.carbatec.com.au/machiner...ries/tablesaws

They are, but something I found out the other day when I was buying mine, and I don't know how many are aware of this... the "basic" model of the SawStop in any class (Contractor, Professional, Industrial) comes with the 30" fence.
If you intend on buying an Incra TS-LS, you can actually buy the saw without a fence at all, and it does lower the cost by a few hundred.

You know, I've enquired three times about this and every time they've said it cannot be unbundled

The Jet looks like a very nice saw. And a genuine bargain when compared with sawstop professional IMO. USA Amazon price for Jet is $2500US and $3299 for Sawstop so about $1000au difference vs well over $2k here.

Well, as of a couple months ago, they were extremely happy to unbundle. They had a price list (and Dave Stanton shared this with me, but I don't have a copy, sadly), where you can buy the saw of your choice, the fence of your choice (or none), dust collection, base, you name it - all individual prices and they're happy to break it down as far as they can. Don't know if anything has changed recently to allow that to happen, maybe so, which would explain the non-possibility some time ago perhaps?
