I have a super saw wiht the sliding table and yes I wouldn't be without it.
It really makes the whole saw more useful.

You have to weigh up how often you would use the jet attachment anyway.

still getting the hang of my new panel saw (TS 250 with "boom-support" sliding table. . . but it's superb. . . Go with the sliding table for sure.

The Jetsaw sliding table makes the use of sleds a bit like painting apples red or broccoli green. N/R

I'm trying to make the same decision........

BTW Jet makes a tenon jig that fits either the right or left slot on the Suoersaw, costs about $150 from Garry Pye.

If you're right then most of the problem goes away .......... Are you looking at the JET Supersaw with the standard fence/legs or holding out for a better Exacta fence with the full cabinet?

I don’t have the sliding table. I use my crosscut sled all the time. To me not getting the sliding table is the right decision.

I have the sliding table and use it to mount jigs to put the mitre on the other end and it acts as a fence you can attach whatever you want to if you need any info give me a email and will take pic's

I use a homemade sled , but I wish I had a big sliding table, just cant fit it in the shed though:mad:

I don't use the sliding table as much as I thought I would, but that's probably because I have a sliding mitre saw as well, and it does most of my cross cut work.

However, the slilding table is still pretty handy and if your jigs will work from the right hand slot, the loss of the left hand slot is not a problem.

The Jet Supersaw I saw at the Sydney WWW Show had an excellent fence - I didn't think to ask 'what sort' as I got the impression that it was a standard fitting - I was less impressed with the fence on the PM2000 (my 'other' choice) as it didn't ride on a back rail, just the table top, and needed a table extension to use the full length of the rails.

I have thought about the enclosed stand but I'd rather they made it available with the 50 inch rails instead of 30 inch as standard rather than making you buy a whoe new fence-and-rails package. I suspect I will be making my own extended rails as I sometimes want to cross cut 2400x1200 sheets in half, and longer rails give more room for a router table setup.

Did you find the prices at the Sydney Show more attractive than the usual online prices for JET equipment?

From what I can see the Queenslander's get the best deals in JET equipment! I'm looking at $2K for the JET CE model Supersaw with sliding table, Freud Fine toothed Blade and a mobile base here in Melbourne.

Whilst never having owned a Jet, I have experienced the shortfallings of non sliding V sliding, for $200 extra, no contest.......................slide Kelly slide .

I have the supersaw - US version with 52 inch rails and sliding table. The sliding table is good well worth it - as far as I have been able to find out from Jet at last Melb. wws the tenonning jig that jet make has to be substantially modified to fit the right side of the left tilt supersaw. I have been researching possible alternatives in tenonning jigs for the right side groove of the saw but as I have not really needed it I have not followed it up with a prototype - I would probably use a router and jig for tenonning anyway.
BTW I got my supersaw from AWT in Airport West they were competitive just before the woodworking show.
