I haven't been in to Hare and Forbes since their TS250RS is back in stock or compared it to the PS1810 however I can compare the specs to the Leda MJ2325F. The Leda is based on the same generic saw the H&F ST254 line is based on which is the 'Hybrid' saw concept, i.e. the saw trunions hang off the table. The Record TS250RS is a true cabinet saw design where the saw trunions are mounted in the cabinet separate to the table allowing better alignment access. The 250RS does have a lower powered motor but I'm not sure how that translates to usability depending on what dimension stock you are aiming to be working with. The (Record) TS250RS seems to be well regarded in the EU for use in small workshop spaces.
If you look at the TS250RS rip fence it is a solid bar fence system more like the higher end machines than the POS Align-A-Rip on the other saws. However I haven't found I have used the rip fence all that much myself, most everything I've done so far fits on the slider for me and I just keep a small sub fence attached to the rip fence short of blade as a width setting guide.
I've had issues with blade height adjustment being inconsistent on my MJ2325F and it is a pain in the neck. I found the worm gears had mating problems and the key slots in the gear and shaft were marginally different sizes contributing to backlash. I'd really love to look over a TS250RS to see how that rise and fall operation compares.
My workshop is 3.8x4.3 and the MJ2325F (similar floorspace as a TS250RS) fits in with a bandsaw and a 2hp dust collector but anything marginally larger would be problematic.Franklin

you know if you bought that SCM you wont need an upgrade for at least 10 years...
if you bought that Hafco, that tinkling feeling of "I wish I've bought that SCM" will always be there cos you have seen it... money come and goes. the SCM panel saw would be buy once laugh forever option here.
SCM prices has gone up quite a bit in the last 24 months.SCM L'Invincibile si X, SCM L'Invincibile S7, SCM TI 145EP, SCM Sandya Win 630, Masterwood OMB1V, Meber 600, Delta RJ42, Nederman S750, Chicago Pneumatics CPRS10500, Ceccato CDX12

Yes i I tend to think along the “buy once” process, however you are also very right - prices are a bit silly on the higher end stuff at the moment! The sc2 is just over $9k. That would mean the first project on it would be the Missus strapping me to the slider and testing it on my privates........
