    Pat,

    The picture of the teeth (shown on the blade) suggests the flat top tooth is lower than the alternate grind teeth so I doubt this will give you a flat top cut.

    I have to agree with homey. I'd be more than very surprised if that blade gave you a flat bottomed cut.

    I have one of these and they work just fine.

    Sorry I'm late to the party, but what I did was have a used crosscut blad reground so that the top of each tooth is ground half flat. This cuts cross-cut and rip better, and gives a flat-bottomed groove or dado. Henry Brothers suggested this and ground the blade.
