    Default Makita MLT100 table saw problems

    Hi

    My mlt100 started running rough and trips the breaker after running for about 5 secs. I have cleaned out all the saw dust etc. thinking it might be getting jammed. Had a good look around, and spoke to a repair shop, it seems to be the motor.

    The manual is not much help.

    Basically want to pull the motor out, has anyone done this, as it does not look straight forward. If any one has please let me know.

    This saw is only 3 yrs old had had little use, so would like to repair if i can do it myself

    Not having one of these saws I can't really advise, but maybe there might be some help in this thread through some of the photos.

    I got into it yesterday and got the motor out. Took it to repair shop for them to test. Waiting to hear whats wrong. But new amueture and winding is $110 + $150 + labour. Ouch.

    You'd think that you could buy a replacement motor, but no.

    Yep dead motor, Ameteurand winding. Not sure its worth the $250 to reapir, seeing its not that old and had bugga all use. Cheap crap from makita, i recon.
