have you had a hunt around www.grizzly.com or http://www.wmhtoolgroup.com/Media.aspx?nav=Manuals for an equivalent manual? Carbatec's Chinglish machinery manuals don't even make decent toilet paper let alone a decent set of instructions
Ours is not to reason why.....only to point and giggle.

Have had a look at the two sites you have posted, thanks. Don't need the manual to set it up as have already been through that. On the blade angle adjustment shaft there are suppose to be two collar locks, one to hold the pinion hard against the trunion, the other sits in behind the cabinet itself so when the angle has been adjusted to where you want it and you turn the locking knob it doesn't push the side of the cabinet in and not lock properly due to flexing of the cabinet. The latter is missing and the one that holds the pinion against the trunion was about an inch off where it should have been allowing the blade to float sideways (rectified) and not hold a true angle. Not sure that all saws are built the same, hence wanting the KS12K manual or equivalent, meaning same saw different name badge. From what I have seen on the diagrams of most of the manuals I have looked at only a c-pin holds the pinion to the shaft which means it should be easy to rectify. If not maybe a pain in the a__e to pull down.
Got a shaft lock from bearing service centre locally after first ringing to confirm they had a 10mm one, when I got there they only had a 5/8 and 1/2 inch one. Have bushed it out with a piece of 13mm thick walled copper water pipe. (they gave the 13mm lock to me because of telling me they had the right size, good service I think). Did try to track down a split collar lock but had no luck. Thats where i'm up to with it so far.Last edited by Sapling; 30th January 2009 at 04:53 PM. Reason: additional info

I have one of those, mine is a Rexon, and although i got it second hand and i'm sure it hasnt been messed with, it doesnt have the piece you are referring to, and i agree with you that it should have come with it. Your simple collar should do the trick.
It's Ripping Time!!!
