Please help me for info on 10" table saw
Hi all. Long time reader but this is my first post.
I just grabbed a secondhand 10" table saw on facebook marketplace. Bit bigger than what I was after but I am suitably impressed with it. Heavy bit of kit.
As you will see from the photos, it has a sliding table on one side. Not sure I want to keep that because it does stick out a fair bit from the side and the front. Possibly want to replace it with a fixed table.
Not sure of the brand or anything else about the table though. Think it may be a Toolex saw. Anyone have any information for it. I have searched the model number online (which can be seen in the images) but I get nothing. Was wanting to know If I can get spare parts for it, possibly a new fence.
If anyone has any information or a manual for it that would be great.
Also what is the best product to use to lubricate the slide and tilting and rising mechanisms. I am thinking grease will just catch all the sawdust as that silicone lubricant would be best, but I am a newbie so I am happy to take advice.

Gday,
Unfortunately, I cant help with the saw.
With regards to the saw lubrication, I use motor oil. With my saw stop and previous saw wadkin. Grease is thick and once dust hits it, it gets thicker. Motor oil while still attracts dust, easier to clean and cheap.
Just my 5cents

This is a contractor saw with the motor hanging out the back? Yes that certainly looks like a Toolex saw. Toolex is a Gasweld brand. These saws were available in a number of iterations and brands in the 90's and early 2000nds, 1-1/2, 2 and 3 hp, 10" and 12". The basics of these saws haven't changed much over the years. They all came out of the one factory in Taiwan and although they mightn't be the latest and greatest they're a good solid starter saw. I have a 12", 2hp version branded 'Jonnesway'.
This manual is for the side mounted motor model - https://www.toolex.com.au/ts14423824...19.tag.ins.pdf. If that one doesn't apply have a look at this Grizzly manual - https://cdn0.grizzly.com/manuals/g1022proz_m.pdf. The fences aren't much chop so an aftermarket fence is the way to go.
Can't advise you about lubrication for the slide, but suspect the wax you use for the table top would be suitable. I don't use any lubricant on the rise and fall and tilt mechanisms, sawdust seems to do a reasonable job of taking care of that. Maybe I'm doing it wrong?
Oh, and welcome to the forum.

Thanks aldav.
Yes it has its motor mounted out the rear. I agree, I think it'll be a good starter saw. I've cleaned it up a bit and put on a new blade and will be putting on the riving knife.
Thanks for the info and the links.
Now its time to have some fun with the saw, after I put the splitter and blade guard back on that is.
